Explaining to ELLs Report Cards & Graduation Requirements

Welcome to Explaining Reports Cards and Graduation Requirements for School District of Philadelphia

ELLs.The School District of Philadelphia requires a total of 23.5 credits for graduation

4 credits must be in English

3 in Mathematics

3 in Science

3 in Social Studies

O.5 in Health

1.00 in Physical Education

2.00 in Arts and Humanities

2.00 in World Languages

and 5.00 in Electives

One of the Electives must be must or science.

The Report Card

The School District of Philadelphia Report Card contains the following information:

the name of the school,the student's name, the name of the principal,

the name of the advisor, the student's ID, his advisory number, his grade, the names of his

teacher, the subjects that he is taking, the quarters, his grades for each quarter, his attendance, and his citizenship.

On the left side of the report card, one can read all the credits that the student earned and the required

credits by the School District of Philadelphia for the student to graduate.Based on this information,

the report card gives you the graduation status for the student.

The last line of the report card shows the Region the school belongs to, the name of the Region, and the number for the school.

The citizenship grade indicates the behavior of the student. 1 is Excellent, 2 is satisfactory, and 3 is Unsatisfactory.
